It wasnt going to be Arsenal and Wenger's day, as Messi scored from spot, after he broke deadlock in 71st minute, to score his first goal against Cech. 

Arsenal started well, with chances begging to be taken, but the Gunners were too star struck and shy to put the ball into their opponent's net. 

But the current world footballer Messi,was not going to have any of that, as he scored both goals, to give his team the needed away goal advantage, going to the second leg in Spain.

Barcelona were too comfortable on the ball, having majority of possession, which was never a surprise anyway, with Neymar, Suarez and Messi dictating the passing game, while Arsenal were playing too defensive as not to concede, which they later did, on a counter attack. 

 This was followed by a spot kick by Messi on the challenge of Flamini who was just 14minutes into the game, and gave Messi a spot kick as his first contribution to the game.

 Barcelona had their moments, where they would have gone one or two goals ahead, but the unselfishness of Messi and Neymar and Saurez, made it rather difficult for them to have gone up earlier in the game.

Whittier: Many Injured As Driver Run Into Jogging Law Enforcement Recruits

  A driver is reported to have slammed into more than two dozen law enforcement recruits while out on a run in Whittier, ABC7 reports.  According to the report, authorities say some of them suffered “life-altering injuries” that include head trauma, broken bones and loss of limbs. A class of about 75 recruits were running Wednesday morning as part of a training exercise when a 22-year-old driver crashed into the group in Whittier.  The victims and their injuries A total of five recruits are currently in critical condition, four are being treated for “moderate” injuries and 16 have minor injuries. Sheriff Alex Villanueva said at least one is on a ventilator, ABC7 reports. The recruits were all sent to various hospitals in the Whittier area, but the most critical patients were rushed before paramedics arrived.
