charging my phone on top of my bed, and most times on my pillow just to avoid
vibration in case it rings...
With this story, I now better now not to place my
phone on top of my bed while charging (though, I have had stories of phone
explosions before now, but with this, I have to be more careful now)...
Caitlin Rae Durant, a 15-year-old from Morfa Bychan in north Wales, was reported to have got her room and some
part of her parents building burnt down just for charging her phone.

After the accident, Firefighters released a warning, on phone to manage
phones: The statement reads:
‘Turn chargers off and unplug them before you go to bed,’ Stuart
Millington, senior fire safety manager at North Wales Police, said. ‘Never
leave items on charge or unattended for long periods.’
Caitlin’s mother speaking on the incident said everything in their home
had been ‘destroyed due to heat, smoke and water damage’.
‘Nothing can be saved’.
‘Downstairs has been flooded due to the volume of water that had to be
