The Nigerian Police was today; allegedly rescued one Mrs. Taiwo Titilayo Momoh who attempted throwing herself over from the Third Mainland Bridge...in what has been described as an attempt to take her own life...
Since the late Dr. Allwell Orji who was alleged to have committed suicide on the same bridge, and body recovered, the state has recorded two failed attempts after that.
In each of those cases, the Nigerian Police under the Lagos Command, and wellmeaning Nigerians, have been able to respond promptly to rescue victims...But again, I ask myself, what's with the craze for 'third main-land bridge'...water goddess...on a mission? wey we pastors and Imam them sef...

According to report, Mrs Momoh, took a Taxi from her house, and on getting to the Third-Main-Land Bridge, she asked the Taxi Driver to stop on the Bridge, she came out, and in her bid to jump, the Police Rapid Respond Unit stationed on the Bridge, quickly came to rescue her...
...She was reported taken to the Police Headquarters, and Investigation are still on-going

Whittier: Many Injured As Driver Run Into Jogging Law Enforcement Recruits

  A driver is reported to have slammed into more than two dozen law enforcement recruits while out on a run in Whittier, ABC7 reports.  According to the report, authorities say some of them suffered “life-altering injuries” that include head trauma, broken bones and loss of limbs. A class of about 75 recruits were running Wednesday morning as part of a training exercise when a 22-year-old driver crashed into the group in Whittier.  The victims and their injuries A total of five recruits are currently in critical condition, four are being treated for “moderate” injuries and 16 have minor injuries. Sheriff Alex Villanueva said at least one is on a ventilator, ABC7 reports. The recruits were all sent to various hospitals in the Whittier area, but the most critical patients were rushed before paramedics arrived.
