PHOTO: Jennifer Lopez donates generator sets and $1million to victims of Hurricane

Pop singer and dancer, Jennifer Lopez has joined other American celebrities to make monetary donations and give relief materials to victims of Hurricane across America and the Caribbean. The singer released a message alongside the governor of New York, saying she will be donating proceeds from her show to help give aid to victims in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean. She said:

“Alex Rodriguez and I, who are both New Yorkers, are utilizing all our resources and relationships in entertainment, sports and business to garner support for Puerto Rican and Caribbean relief efforts,”


As reported by People, she also said that the New York Yankees and the MLB “have both committed to join us in giving a significant contribution to this cause.”

...the question I keep asking is, why are these American celebrities not donating their 'personal' money just like what Beyonce and her husband did?

The Carters were rumoured to have dropped $17million, with Beyonce dropping $10million and Jayz $7million and other relief materials, without organizing a show for the money. Must they organize a show before giving help to victims of hurricane or floods? Jannet Jackson did hers, and now Jennifer Lopez is about doing same...

The Puerto Rican native also shared a personal story of the Hurricane, as she said she is yet to hear from her family aftermath of the hurricane. She said:

"My cousin and I and our family still haven’t been able to hear from all of our family over there and we are concerned for them and for everybody on the island,”

...we pray she gets through this, as our prayers are with her....

Whittier: Many Injured As Driver Run Into Jogging Law Enforcement Recruits

  A driver is reported to have slammed into more than two dozen law enforcement recruits while out on a run in Whittier, ABC7 reports.  According to the report, authorities say some of them suffered “life-altering injuries” that include head trauma, broken bones and loss of limbs. A class of about 75 recruits were running Wednesday morning as part of a training exercise when a 22-year-old driver crashed into the group in Whittier.  The victims and their injuries A total of five recruits are currently in critical condition, four are being treated for “moderate” injuries and 16 have minor injuries. Sheriff Alex Villanueva said at least one is on a ventilator, ABC7 reports. The recruits were all sent to various hospitals in the Whittier area, but the most critical patients were rushed before paramedics arrived.
