PHOTO: Unidentified Liverpool fan or fans threatens to kill Dejan Lovren and his family

Playing football to give your family a good life is one thing and the ultimate goal of every sportsman and woman out there. But doing that and getting a death threat from fans threatening to murder your family, is really something that calls for a concern, and that was what Liverpool's defender, Dejan Lovren is concerned about right now.

We all understand the passion and emotions football brings, but there should be a limit to how and where we take our love for the game to. The game is a season-in season-out thing, so if your team does not perform well or win the league this season, there is still an opportunity for next season.

I will also like to add that, footballers are human beings just like the fans, they are not robot and of course they do have their bad and good days on and off the pitch; and rather than send threatening messages to them, we should encourage them and look forward to a better game next time around.

The Croatian and former Southampton defender who has had some difficult games with Liverpool, especially the game against Spurs, where Liverpool lost heavily, seems not to have gone down well with some fans. It has not yet been established who sent the threats, but it is highly likely such a message will come from some disgruntled fans or a fan.
Lovren while sharing the news, said:

 "Horrible what kind of people we have...I don't mind when people talk s*** about me, it says more about them! But I cannot ignore when my family is threatened. I just can't and won't accept that. Disgusting."

"You can talk about performances and playing good or bad. That's part of the game. Keep family and stupid comments out of it! You go Lovren."

Liverpool as a club and former players all condemned the message and called for caution while police investigate...more on this to come...
