Hillary Clinton who earlier today, called President elect, Donald Trump to congratulate him on his victory, has finally given a speech to thousands of her supporters in Peninsula Hotel in New York.

She said: ‘Last night I congratulated Donald Trump and offered to work with him.’
She said she told supporters she hopes Donald Trump will be ‘a successful president for all Americans’.
‘You represent the best of America and being your candidate has been one of the greatest honour of my life’, she told the crowd
Clinton added: ‘We must accept this result. Donald Trump is going to be President. We owe him an open mind and a chance to lead.
‘Please, never stop believing that fighting for what’s right is worth it. We need you to keep up these fights now and for the rest of you lives.

‘To the women, especially the young women, who put their faith in me and this campaign, know that nothing has made me prouder to be your champion.
‘I know we have still not shattered that glass ceiling, but hopefully soon somebody will and sooner than we might think right now.

‘To all the little girls watching, never doubt that you are valuable and powerful & deserving of every chance & opportunity in the world.’
