Bayern Munich President, Hoeness has finally revealed reasons behind the sack of Carlo Ancelotti from the club. Hoeness who has been a fan and friend of the Italian, as reported by Marca, said their were five key players in the team that wanted the Italian gone, after some frosty relationship with the players. The Hoeness though; did not mention names, but it will not be that difficult to pick out one or two of such players that might have called for the sack of the former Chelsea and Real Madrid manager. That said, Hoeness was quoted to have said:

Former English Premier League star, Demba Ba has given an epic reply to Chinese Police cracking down on Muslim faithfuls in the country. This is coming, after news broke out that Chinese Police ordered all Muslims in China to hand in their praying mats and Quran or face punishment from the police authority, in what look like a crackdown on the Muslim population in the country. The Independent Electoral Commission of Nigeria, has released the date for 2019 Presidential elections, and that of the National Assembly. According to the information released online, the Commission  the Presidential and National Assembly elections have been fixed for Saturday 16th February 2019. The head of the Commission Professor Mahmood also released some information on voters card collections and registration, saying:

After all the rumours that he was likely to be sacked by Bayern Munich after last night's Champions League defeat to Paris Saint Germain, Carlo Ancelotti has been officially been fired by the club. The club released a statement on the sacking of the 58year old and all his assistants in the club. The statement on their official website reads:

Bayern munich manager, and Italian, Carlo Ancelotti could at the end of today, be without a job. This is coming after some poor run of results, both at the domestic league and in Europe. But it was last night's result against Paris Saint German in the Champions league that broke the camel's back for Bayern and for Ancellotti. Bayern for the first time in over twenty years in Champions league group stage, were beaten 3-0 by PSG, thereby recording their worst start to the competition.   According to a report by Marca, the poor results could force Bayern board to act, and released the former Chelsea and Real Madrid coach from his job. The German Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr Bernhard Schlagheck earlier today, paid a courtesy visit to the chairman of the opposition political party in Nigeria, Peoples Democratic Party, Mr Ahmed Makarfi. The visit which took place at the party's Secretariat, was described by the chairman as a welcome development, as both parties seek a working collaborations to move Nigeria forward. Other members of the PDP National caretaker working committee were also on hand, for a group picture with the Ambassador. See more pictures:

American singer and business lady-humanitarian herself; Rihanna has written to President Donald Trump on Hurricane Maria. This is coming in the midst of all the 'Kneeling and not Kneeling' controversy going on between the NFL and the President of the United State. Rihanna who is well known for her humanitarian duties, decided to use her 'powers' to solicit for help on behalf of the people of Puerto Rico and other Islands ravaged by Hurricane Maria in the last week from President Trump. The people of Puerto Rico, days after experiencing one of the most terrifying natural disasters in their history, which is the Hurricane Maria, are still living without drinkable water, food, shelter and medical aid. This the pop star is asking President Trump to help with, using a Daily News front page, so that normalcy can return to the people and their city. See her message:

The UEFA Champions League games played yesterday, which is the second round of games in the current season, saw some rain of goals. Teams like Paris Saint Germain, Manchester United, Basel and Celtic were the big winners from yesterday's game, Chelsea, Roma and Barcelona also got a vital away win. The English club of  Chelsea and Manchester United put up an impressive outing, with a fantastic away wins, as they cemented their positions at the top of their groups. After beating Atletico Madrid in their first away Champions League game this season, Chelsea players after the game shared a shirtless locker room picture of them celebrating. The picture was uploaded by Fabregas, as the English Champions makes it 6points in two games, and are top of the group. See his tweet:

After a fantastic performance in the Champions League game against APOEL (with respect to the team...they are the easiest in the group ), where Harry Kane netted a hat-trick, Spurs coach, Mauricio Pochettino feels the English forward, is better than Real Madrid and Portuguese, striker, Cristiano Ronaldo. Tottenham Hotspur manager, Pochettino was quoted to have said this, after seeing his side win a second game in the Champions league with Harry Kane's goals. He praised the effort of the striker, while comparing him with the likes of Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. He said:

Atletico Madrid manager, Diego Simeone ahead of his team's Champions League clash with Premier League Champions, Chelsea, has named players he feels could cause a serious problem to his team. The longtime Atletico manager, who is also an ex player of the club, while speaking ahead of tonight big clash, pointed out the likes of red hot and in form striker, Alvaro Morata, Pedro, Willian and Hazard as those likely to cause serious problem to his team, while making special reference to Morata. Atletico Madrid will be going into tonight's game hoping for a win, after a disappointing start to their Champions league campaign this season, after recording a goal less draw against Roma in their first game. He said: ‘Morata is a very important player,’ he said.

The Champions League games played last night, saw some remarkable results, though there was no 'rain' of goals just like the first round of games, but teams got some results they  never thought they could. The major highlights of last night games were Harry Kane netting a hat-trick, and Real Madrid Cristiano Ronaldo with a brace, to net his 25th goals in 20 games against German teams. He also took his all time Champions league record to 111 goals. Both Spanish and English teams got some good results, with the likes of Manchester City, Spurs getting a win, while Liverpool continued their struggle to getting their first win, as they yet again, recorded another draw.

The movements of players and not just players , but big players in the NBA going into the new season, is one that has never been witnessed in the history of the game. It seems all teams and players alike, want to earn the title 'Super team', so they are doing all they can, to have that title. The latest announcement though shocking in some way, but one which many before now, has hinted would happen, was Dwayane Wade dumping Bulls and moving to Cleveland to be with his old team mate and friend, Lebron James. The move clearly was influenced by Lebron James, given that he has been talking about Wade joining him, even when he was rumoured to be on his way out of Cavs for the second time. After a successful Champions League outing against German side Dortmund last night, Real Madrid stars gathered to celebrate one of their own, Cristiano Ronaldo for his 412 career goals The Spanish side who has in recent past struggled against the German side, last night with the help of Cristiano's brace, overcame the German scare, to take home all three points and six points from their two Champions League opening games. The brace netted by the Portuguese star, took his all time goal scoring record to 412 goals in 400 games. He now has 111 goals in the European Champions League competition, making him all time record scorer in the competition, with Lionel Messi with just 96goals. President Trump seems not to be giving up on his promise to ban some selected citizens from some 'Muslim' countries, even as the case is still in court. Trump earlier today, was reported to have reviewed the old list, adding more countries to the list. The likes of Venezuela and North Korea and Chad are now the latest countries to have been added to the list, countries he perceives as a threat to the United State.  The new restriction is to take effect by 18th October, 2017, and state departments and other federal agencies have been given authorities to carry out the operation. But the old travel ban has already started yesterday, but no report of any arrest yet. The list of countries now banned not to enter the United State are:

The President of United States, President Donald Trump might be getting far more than what he bargained for, after saying those players kneeling while the national anthem is being played as 'sons of b*tches' and should be fired'... The NFL players both white and black, after the comment from the president, lashing out at them for kneeling, has taken to kneeling even more, while some took to locking hands together in unism, to protest the President's statement. If you recall, this kneeling of a thing was first initiated by Colin Kaepernick, to drive home his grievances with the Trump Presidency, a decision which he said was to stop the social and racial injustice in the country.  That singular move, is now the norm for most sports men and women in the United State, especially from blacks. Pop singer and dancer, Jennifer Lopez has joined other American celebrities to make monetary donations and give relief materials to victims of Hurricane across America and the Caribbean. The singer released a message alongside the governor of New York, saying she will be donating proceeds from her show to help give aid to victims in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean. Liverpool number one goalkeeper, Simon Mignolet seems to have been rewarded by thousands of Liverpool fans on Twitter, after keeping out a penalty kick from Leicester City's striker, Jamie Vardy in Saturday's Premier League game. The Belgium goalkeeper saved Vardy's spot-kick that would have seen Liverpool draw the game 3-3, and drop further on the table. Mignolet, just a day after the game, took to his social media page, to announce the overnight swelled of his social media page, while also thanking those that made it possible for him. This is something really worth celebrating, but again, social media can be funny, the numbers might drop, the next time Mignolet will let in more goals than desired in a game..whichever one, as long as the followers keep increasing, he careless... The West African football competition for home based regional players has ended, and it was  the host, Ghana that came out victorious. Ghana won the finals, after beating Super Eagles of Nigeria, 4-1 at home, to be crowned the Champions. Ghana who were beaten by Nigeria in their last group game, reminded the super eagles, that the win in the group game was just their own doing, as they showed the Nigerian players who before the final never conceded a goal, how football is played. Goals from Stephen Sarfo in the 44* 77* and  Atingah 77*  with  Cobbinah in the 93*...while Rabiu scored a consolation for Nigeria in 95*.... The Uruguayan football association after the attack on two of their officials during a game, has called off all Sunday games. The move was to protest the continued attack on match officials, and to reduce the rate of increased violence in the country, especially against women. The statement reads:

Real Madrid star, Karim Benzema was reported to have been involved in yet another accident, early on Friday. He was reported to have collided with another car when he was gaining entrance into the high way in Madrid. As reported by Marca, the striker was driving in his Audi RS6 which is a sponsored and official car of Real Madrid. It was reported that no serious injuries was recorded, just a damage to his car and that of the other car. This is the second time since 2009 when he crashed into barriers in La Finca de Pozuelo. He has also been fined for reckless driving in Ibiza and has been punished for driving without a license.

Chelsea and Spanish striker, Alvaro Morata yesterday, scored his first club hat-trick with Chelsea, just days after Michy Batshuayi scored his own hat-trick in the midweek Carabao cup, where Chelsea won 5-1. The Spanish striker seems to have responded to his rival, as he scored three fantastic goals, to say to Batshuayi, what you can do, I can do better. Luis Suarez's 100th (Image: Luis Saurez/twitter) Barcelona forward, Luis Saurez yesterday, marked his 100th appearance for the LaLiga side, with a beautiful goal against Girona, to make sure Barcelona remain top of the table. The 30year old and former Liverpool striker who took to his social media to celebrate the achievement said he was happy to have done this with his friend Lionel Messi and other of his Barcelona teammates. Saurez since joining Barcelona from Liverpool has so far scored over 100 goals for the club, in all competitions, winning both domestic and European titles, and of course golden boot. After finally forcing his way out of Chelsea to his former club Atletico Madrid, in a transfer fee of £57million which could still rise to £62million with other add-ons, outcast striker, Diego Costa finally speaks on his transfer. The Spanish striker who landed in Madrid, where he is to undergo his medicals to finalize his move to the club, said he is happy he is back home, while also insisting there was no love lost with Chelsea. The world football governing body,  FIFA earlier today, relased a new list for the best players and managers awards for 2017. The new list has best player for both men and women, and best manager, also for best goal keepers. See the shortlist:

The wife of Kogi State governor, Rashida Yahaya Bello reached out to victims of flood in the state, as she distributed food items to the Internally Displays Persons in various camps in the state. Mrs Rashida Bello in a series of tweets, she advice citizens of the state on how to avoid re-occurrence of flood, asking them to keep their environment clean, and making sure water ways are not clogged with dirt.

After the news spread that England U21 and Chelsea striker, Tammy Abraham was going to dump England for Nigeria, after meeting up with the President of Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Pinnick, Tammy Abraham has debunks such claims. The on loan Swansea man, was rumoured to have told Pinnick that he is dumping England for Nigeria, and the English social media users wasted no time coming for him and the England FA. Tammy Abraham seeing the reactions from social media, has since released a statement saying he is yet to make any decision, while also insisting he is available for selection for the English national team. An Ibadan Customary Court has dissolved the marriage of former Super Eagles Coach, Mr. Festus Onigbinde, and granted his wife a sum of N5000, after he complained of irreconcilable differences in their marriage. This amount according to the court, was to allow former Mrs Anne Onigbede move her properties out of the house. wow! The septuagenarain who has been married for 30years, had earlier gone to court to dissolve his marriage, telling the Mapo Court Ibadan, that his wife 'financial recklessness and as an unrepentant trouble maker' as his reasons for calling for a dissolution of their marriage. Onigbinde as reported by NAN, said:

Spanish LaLiga side, Atletico Madrid has released a statement on their purported £57million transfer for Chelsea striker, Diego Costa.  The club who is still under transfer ban, released a statement on the player, and how they have reached an agreement with Chelsea. See the statement:

English Premier League Champions, Chelsea has agreed a transfer fee of £57million with Laliga side, Atletico Madrid for their troubled and outcast striker, Diego Costa. The agreement between both clubs was finalized today,but the player will have to go through medicals and personal terms agreed with the player, before Costa can become an Atletico player. Diego Costa is expected to be loaned off to another club, till January when he will now join Atletico. We also understand his loan move will be out of England...but we are not sure yet, as the full details of the deal are yet to be made public...more on this to come later...

Kevin Oghenetega Tamaraebi Bakumo-Abraham, known as Tammy Abraham, is sets to dump England to play for Nigeria, as the 19year old weighs his chances of playing at the world cup next year with England. The Chelsea striker's dream of an early world cup at age 19, could be a reality, though not with England, but with Nigeria, as he was spotted with Mr. Amaju Pinnick who doubles as a friend of the family, and President of Nigeria Football Federation. The Abraham family were pictured in London with Pinnick, who was optimistic in his quest to convince Tammy to follow in the footstep of the likes of Alex Iwobi, Ola Aina, Chuba, Balogun and the rest, who opted to play for Nigeria.   The Nigerian Football President even went as far as promising a place at the 2018 world cup to the England U21, if Nigeria qualifiers for the FIFA competition.
