  A driver is reported to have slammed into more than two dozen law enforcement recruits while out on a run in Whittier, ABC7 reports.  According to the report, authorities say some of them suffered “life-altering injuries” that include head trauma, broken bones and loss of limbs. A class of about 75 recruits were running Wednesday morning as part of a training exercise when a 22-year-old driver crashed into the group in Whittier.  The victims and their injuries A total of five recruits are currently in critical condition, four are being treated for “moderate” injuries and 16 have minor injuries. Sheriff Alex Villanueva said at least one is on a ventilator, ABC7 reports. The recruits were all sent to various hospitals in the Whittier area, but the most critical patients were rushed before paramedics arrived. Kymberly Herrin, a former actress and  Playboy  model, has died. She was 65. On Tuesday, the  Santa Barbara News-Press  published an obituary for Kymberly Herrin that noted she “passed away peacefully” Oct. 28 in Santa Barbara, Calif., where she was a lifelong resident. Herrin’s cause of death is unknown, and her niece Theresa Ramirez confirmed Herrin’s death in an Oct. 28 Facebook post, in which she shared a photo of Herrin posing with her two late sisters on a beach, according to  Newsweek . “They are all together now,” Ramirez wrote in a caption alongside the photo. “Aunt Kymberly Herrin. I love you.” According to the obituary, Herrin graduated from Santa Barbara High School in 1975 and went on to pose on the cover of “over a dozen magazines, both local and international,” in her modeling career. According to reports, Karen Bass narrowly defeated billionaire developer Rick Caruso in the highly contested mayoral race on Wednesday. With 70% of the vote tallied, Bass had amassed an insurmountable lead of nearly 47,000 votes. After a week of counting, the longtime congresswoman, 69, who has represented California’s 37th District in D.C. since 2011, won the mayoral race with just over 53 per cent of the vote as called by the Associate Press. The arrest of rapper Blueface over murder arrest Monday is based on an incident on October 8, where he is accused of pulling a gun and shooting at the driver of a truck, TMZ reports. According to TMZ, a video obtained of the incident shows the rapper outside a Las Vegas club last month, when a truck suddenly pulls up at Blueface and his crew before flooring it away. Blueface allegedly pulls out a weapon in the video, and fires it multiple times at the driver as they sped off. According to sources at the venue, the unknown driver walked into the club earlier and the rapper’s crew, who had allegedly been drinking, attacked him. It’s not clear what started the alleged altercation, but sources told TMZ Blueface wasn’t directly involved in the fight. After the beatdown, the man retreated to his truck and pulled up on Blueface and his crew as they were leaving. Sources told TMZ that the man asked “Who hit me?!” and that’s when the shots rang out. UFC star Israel Adesanya was arrested Wednesday afternoon for criminal possession of a weapon at JFK airport in NYC, TMZ reports. According to the report, UFC star Israel Adesanya was allegedly busted while going through security with metal knuckles. The arrest was made by the Port Authority Police Department near the TSA screening area near the American Airlines terminal around 1:57 PM. TMZ reported that Brass knuckles are illegal (a class A misdemeanour) in the state of New York. It’s also illegal to carry them on your person or in your carry-on bag. King Charles and Queen Camilla were Wednesday hit with egges during a walkabout in York, as Police have since detained the suspect, Metro Uk reports. According to the report from the United Kingdom, large crowds had gathered behind barriers, near the Micklegate Bar, ahead of a royal walkabout this morning. King Charles and Queen Camilla were in the process of being welcomed to York when three eggs were hurled in their direction. A man, named as Patrick Thelwell, was heard shouting ‘this country was built on the blood of slaves’ after booing the couple, the report said. One egg landed on the road near to King Charles, but none directly struck the monarch. Police officers and royal security staff rushed to the scene after the first egg was launched and, in footage from the incident, can be seen tackling a man in the crowd.   Three suspected armed robbers have been arrested in a stop-and-search operation by the men of the Delta State Police Command, in different parts of the state, authorities of the Command report. According to reports, the Senegal star Sadio Mane will keep him sidelined for several weeks. The former Liverpool attacker was withdrawn after just 20 minutes of Tuesday night’s 6-1 victory over Werder Bremen, though Bayern initially played down the severity of the problem.   The Northrop Grumman Cygnus cargo spacecraft has successfully deployed one of its two solar arrays and completed four rendezvous burns on its way to the International Space Station, NASA reports in a statement. According to the report by NASA, to remain focused on the spacecraft’s arrival at the station, NASA stated that Northrop Grumman and them made the determination not to deploy the second solar array after initial attempts to deploy it were unsuccessful. NASA also revealed that the Cygnus team is gathering information on why the second array did not deploy as planned. Cygnus has sufficient power to rendezvous with the space station Wednesday, Nov. 9. Northrop Grumman is working closely with NASA to monitor and assess the spacecraft ahead of tomorrow’s planned arrival, capture, and installation at the space station.   Toulouse University Hospital in France, has performed the fist ever nose transplant on a patient, with the aid of a 3D printer, AFP reports. According to the report, the Toulouse University Hospital first implanted the biomaterial on the forearm of the patient for better revascularization, a move that has been described as an unprecedented intervention.  Toulouse University Hospital completely reconstructed the nose of the patient from a synthetic graft previously implanted in the patient forearm, the Toulouse Cancer University Institute announced in a press release on Monday November 7. In 2013, the patient was treated for nasal cavity cancer . A treatment which had made him lose “a large part of his nose as well as the front part of his palate”, indicated the hospital. After four years without a nose, the ENT and cervico-facial surgery teams at the Toulouse University Hospital offered him “a bespoke nasal reconstruction using biomaterial” using a 3D printer.
