The story earlier reported today (Saturday), where a picture showing officials of the Ondo State house of Assembly moving a way with a ‘Ghana-must-go’ bag filled with money, has been confirmed...

The money inside the bag according to the former speaker, Akindele, who still claims she is still the speaker, said, the money were for projects which the members of the house are aware of, and were dully appropriated, which is a  public knowledge...

She said the attempt by some members of the House to forcefully and illegally remove her and some 'honourables' in the house as a move that will not stand, and that she still remains the Speaker of Ondo House of Assembly...

She also said, the purported N15million allegedly stolen by her, inside a ‘Ghana-must=go’ bag, is just lies and the media should ignore such ‘nonsense’....She was quoted to have said:


“To orchestrate such illegality they blatantly went against the known rules and convention of the house...expecting it to stand shows clearly that some people are either power drunk or they are incapable of understanding or appreciating the fine ethos of the rule of the house and the rule of law”

"To even attempt to enforce their ill-advised will on the majority of the House in such a callous manner is a pointer to the kind of leadership style they plan to provide...In the course of his duty, a law abiding senior public officer was manhandled and subjected to a dehumanizing treatment"

Whittier: Many Injured As Driver Run Into Jogging Law Enforcement Recruits

  A driver is reported to have slammed into more than two dozen law enforcement recruits while out on a run in Whittier, ABC7 reports.  According to the report, authorities say some of them suffered “life-altering injuries” that include head trauma, broken bones and loss of limbs. A class of about 75 recruits were running Wednesday morning as part of a training exercise when a 22-year-old driver crashed into the group in Whittier.  The victims and their injuries A total of five recruits are currently in critical condition, four are being treated for “moderate” injuries and 16 have minor injuries. Sheriff Alex Villanueva said at least one is on a ventilator, ABC7 reports. The recruits were all sent to various hospitals in the Whittier area, but the most critical patients were rushed before paramedics arrived.
