  A reported overnight shooting in Tallahassee Florida is said to have left at least one person and eight more injured on Saturday, CNN reports. The report by CNN quoting the statement released by the Tallahassee Police Department on the shooting in Tallahassee Florida, stated that numerous people began shooting at Half-Time Liquors and Los Compadres on West Pensacola Street just before midnight as police were “conducting crowd control at multiple locations."  West Pensacola Street is near both Florida A&M University and Florida State University. Officers who heard gunshots found an adult male outside the liquor store who died from his injuries at the scene, Tallahassee Police Chief Lawrence Revell said in a Sunday morning news conference. Sokoto village head is said to have been arrested alongside 10 other suspects by operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) over 991,320 Opioid Pills, 1,251kg Skunk. According to the statement released by the Director of Media and Advocacy for National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Femi Babafemi on Sunday 30th October 2022, the Sokoto village head who hails from Gidan Abba in Bodinga local government area of Sokoto state, was identified as Abubakar Ibrahim. He was among eleven suspects arrested in interdiction operations in which Nine Hundred and Ninety One Thousand Three Hundred and Twenty (991,320) pills of pharmaceutical opioids and 1,251kgs of cannabis and khat as well as 46.637 kilograms of methamphetamine, cocaine and heroin were recovered across seven states. Rivers Governor Nyesom Wike has lambasted the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Iyorchia Ayu, over his boastful statement that he can stop the political aspirations of Benue Governor Samuel Ortom and others in 2023. Wike, while briefing journalists at his private residence in Port Harcourt on Sunday, said Ayu lacked integrity, insisting the PDP chairman was corrupt.   Commercial bus drivers in Lagos, under the aegis of the Joint Drivers Welfare Association of Nigeria (JDWAN) have vowed to go ahead with their planned seven-day sit-at-home protest, over continued extortion from touts. The commercial bus drivers threatened to withdraw their service starting from Monday, October 31, 2022, over what they described as massive extortion of their members by urchins. They have vowed to boycott services across the state over alleged multiple and excessive extortion of their members by the management of parks and garages in the state, as well as those attached to the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) and Road Transport Employers Association Association of Nigeria (RTEAN).
