EPL: Rashford 'Delight" brace dent Arsenal's title hope, as they went down 3-2 at Old Trafford!!

The game that has generated so much buzz all through the week, has come and gone, and it was Manchester United that ran home with a win, against all expectations.

Given United dismal performance in the first leg when both sides met at the emirate, and the injury woes in the United camp, you would have expected the worse from United, but it wasn't to be, as they show what they are made of , at a time when they really needed a win; and a win they got!!

Rashford again, the man of the match and the new Old Trafford "delight" as he scored his second brace to extend LVG stay at the OldTrafford.

The 18year old, scored his first Premier League goal with his first shot on goal, and his second with a fine header to put give United a comfortable lead and the hope of a champions league spot next season.

Arsenal on the other hand, were still not over the defeat of the Champions league to Barcelona, as their performance was nothing to write home, with over 70% of ball possession, 13 attempts on goal, with just  7 on target. The statistics were impressive, and favours Arsenal, but the result tells it all...the team that wanted it most, with a game plan, got the win...

With united sitting and allowing Arsenal to have the ball, you would have thought the Arsenal side would capitalize on the inexperience backline of the United defence, but they never did, as the defence was nowhere at any point in the game, under pressure from Arsenal, as they never took the game to United.

Arsenal never looked convincing, and Theo Walcott given a start ahead of Giroud, was all over the place having no impact on the game, and his mistake led to the first goal of the game. A huge mistake from Wenger??, well  Danny Welbeck  was on hand to score his second goal for Arsenal at the Old Trafford , and Ozil made it two, but it was never enough for the title contenders as they were beaten 3-2 by United.

After the game, Cech, the Arsenal keeper was asked what happened, as everybody thought Arsenal was going to beat United, and  close the gap on Leicester.
In his word:

“They (United) scored at every mistake we made at the back, and at this stage of the season, you cannot afford to make such mistakes, but is unfortunate”
When asked further if the title challenge is still on for Arsenal, the number goalkeeper for Arsenal put it this way:

“There are a lot of games to play, and we just have to keep fighting till the end”.
LVG, stole the show for a little bit, with his unprofessional, but comical dramatization at the sideline with a fall to explain a point to the assistant referee. When asked after the game to comment on the incident, he said:

“ it was emotionally, because I always stay on the bench, but today, emotions got the better part of me, but I have apologized to the referees”.

Asked if he regret his act, he simply said: “ we won the game, so I do not regret”!
On his side, after the game, the Arsenal coach when questioned about the performance of his players he said:

“ I cannot fault the players or our style, but they (United) committed too much disrupt our game, and defended too deep to make the game difficult for my team”
Asked about the title challenge:

“ The goal is to fight till the end of the season, and I am disappointed  but I will not go into individual analysis of my players, because we will bounce back from this”
Do you think Arsenal can bounce back and win the title? #coughing
