The Save Nigeria Anti Corruption Coalition, TSNACC, according to report,  has called on Muhammadu Buhari to immediately sack the Minister of State for Petroleum, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu, over what it described as:

“his incompetence and inability to properly address the fuel scarcity situation in the country, as well as his unguarded statement asking Nigerians to continue living with the terrifying situation till the month of May.”

The group also called on President Buhari to immediately set the machinery for the removal of Kachikwu, alleging that he may wreak further havoc to the oil sector, by increasing the anger of Nigerians.

In a statement signed by its Executive Director, Comrade Femi Lawson, and made available to newsmen on Monday, the group accused Kachikwu

“of sabotaging the efforts of President Buhari to restore sanity in the oil sector and also deliberately threading paths that have tendencies to create instability in the Nigerian polity through such insensitive utterances.

“Why has Mr. Kachikwu continued to embarrass President Buhari and by extension, Nigerians, by being unable to come out with a logical road map to address the situation, through his expected role at the Petroleum Ministry and the NNPC.

“Today, Nigerians are faced with the consequence of the incompetencies of the Minister of State and his lack of understanding of our feelings as Nigerians.”

The group further said that failure of President Buhari to sack Mr. Kachukwu will speak volume of how important Nigerians are, in the face of this administration, most importantly when statement as such, made by Mr. Ibe Kachukwu are well considered.

“We shall ensure that we use every legitimate means to engage Nigerians to further press for the removal of Mr. Kachukwu who from all indication have proven not to be competent enough to tackle the agony being faced by Nigerians at this critical moment,”
