According to news report, Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel says he’ll leave the Blues if he’s not guaranteed a regular first-team spot next season.

The Nigerian ace has been brought in from the cold since Jose Mourinho’s departure in December and he’s been a mainstay in the side since Guus Hiddink took over.
The 28-year-old has a year to run on his existing deal at Stamford Bridge and he’s waiting to speak to incoming boss Antonio Conte before deciding on his future.
Having regained his first-team spot since the turn of the year, Mikel is unwilling to accept a bit-part role with the Blues and says he’ll leave if he’s not given regular football.

‘I have one more season with Chelsea but I know when this season ends, we will definitely sit down and try to sort out whatever needs to be sorted out,’ said Mikel.
‘If it means me leaving, fine.

‘If it means me staying, then I have to play because one thing I don’t want to do is to sit on the bench like I did before.’
