According to media report, the Islamic State
terrorists are planning to attack tourists at European beach resorts, according
to new intelligence.
It’s
believed that Boko Haram terrorists, who pledged allegiance to Isis, would bury
explosives under sun loungers and pose as beach sellers to get close to
tourists before detonating suicide belts.
Popular holiday resorts in Spain, Italy
and France have been identified as potential targets.
The BND – Germany’s answer to MI6 –
learned of the disturbing intelligence from Italian authorities.
BILD
report that the extremist group had plans to pose as refugees serving
holidaymakers in the tourist hotspots.
It’s believed the intelligence also
detailed the use of automatic weapons, suicide belts and other explosive
devices on crowded beaches.
A high-ranking security source told BILD:
‘It could be a whole new dimension of terror. Holiday beaches cannot be protected.’
Following reports of the Daesh plots,
Germany has not issued any travel warnings.
The disturbing plot have striking
similarities with the Tunisian terror attack.
A gunman opened fire on tourists during a
terror attack that killed 38 people – including 30 UK nationals – in the resort

He was 56. Italian firefighters who responded said a paraglider crashed into the side of a swimming pool in the city of Porto Sant Elpidio. Felix Baumgartner, 56, fell to the ground near the swimming pool of a hotel while flying over the village of Porto Sant'Elpidio in the eastern Marche region. Porto Sant'Elpidio's mayor, Massimiliano Ciarpella, said reports suggested Felix Baumgartner may have suffered a sudden medical issue mid-air. The Austrian daredevil made headlines in 2012 when he broke the world record - and the sound barrier - for the highest-ever skydive, jumping from a balloon more than 39km (128,000 ft) up in the stratosphere. Felix Baumgartner was described as "a symbol of courage and passion for extreme flights", by Mayor ...
