PHOTO:Adele set to become British record signing by Sony with £90 million deal

A report suggest that Adele is set to sign a £90 million record deal with Sony, that will make her the biggest  British recording artist ever signed by Sony.

Robbie Williams previously held the title when FMI paid-him £80 million back in 2002, with Whitney Houston achieving the biggest for a female artist when she signed a deal for £70 million with Arise.

The Tottenham-born superstar is about to make more record music history by signing this latest deal.

A source from Sony said: ‘We’ve secured Adele, who’s without doubt the biggest music star in a generation. This is massive.

‘Adele’s deal with her original label XL expired and we’d an existing relationship with her in America.

‘The deal is being worked on by our Columbia label in the US, but is worth £90 million and gives Sony the rights to release her future music exclusively around the world,’ they added.

The 28-year-old, according to the report, is already worth a whopping £85 million – but that’ll probably rocket to the untouchable heavens if she signs this deal.
