PHOTO:Mesut Ozil blast team mates for ‘finishing poor’ this season...but the fans think is the manager!!
The 27-year-old vented his fury
after manager Arsene Wenger could only guide them to a second place finish,
despite being favourites in the title race for much of the season.
The final position is the best the
Arsenal have managed since 2005, but the north London side still finished 10
points behind champions Leicester.
The World Cup winner felt it was an
opportunity missed and turned on his team-mates for their lack of cohesion at
vital times in the campaign.
‘We dropped a lot of points that we
should not have dropped against the “smaller teams” and that was the point in
the season where we did not work as a team,’ he said.
Arsenal’s struggles have left doubts
over his future with speculation rife that he could move on.
Ozil confirmed he is going to talk with the club after Euro 2016
but it’s not certain whether he wants to extend his current two-year deal or to
seek an exit
