Argentina and
Barcelona star, Lionel Messi retires after another final defeat from their
rival Chile, in yet another COPA America final between the two countries.
It was a tearful and
heartbroken Messi, one we haven’t seen before, after the penalty shootout after
the normal 90minutes of the game.
Clearly, he blames
himself for failing the team, after missing his spot kick, and also it was same
Chile the lost to last year, and a third final miss in three years for the
Argentina!!

Lionel Messi after
the game was quoted to have said:
'That's it. It's
over for me with the national team,' he explained.
'It's not for me.
That's four finals. The decision has been made, I think so. [Winning] is what I
wanted most. It didn't come. I think that's it. That's how I feel now, what I
think.
It's a great sadness. It hurts not to be a champion.'
Sergio Aguero on his
part, said other players could follow on the foot step of Messi:
'Messi probably
won't be the only player to leave the national team,' said Aguero.
'There are various
players who are considering quitting. This is the worst I've seen the dressing
room. Worse than after the other two finals [the 2014 World Cup and 2015 Copa
America].'
