PHOTO:Jurgen Klopp feels he was expecting his team to run over Burnley after success at Arsenal’s saying he expected ‘Burnley to vomit on the pitch’
I feel managers new to the English
Premier league, need to be told about the dynamics of the league and how
celebrating too early (climbing all over your players) when the game is far
from over could hurt you in the nuts...when placed in the wrong place that is...lol
The likes of Conte of Chelsea and Jurgen
Klopp of Liverpool...yea Jurgen Klopp especially, given his Liverpool side well documented 'inconsistency' dating
back to Rodgers; he need to be told the league is different and you cannot
win the league, if you cannot be consistent with results (winning of course)
and game management!!! celebrating like a nursery school child who just heard the closing bell, forgetting he's coming back to school tomorrow...don't get me wrong...celebration is allowed!!
After a fantastic display at Arsenal...for some people anyway...you
would thought that Liverpool would continue where they narrowly escaped from a draw at
Arsenal and take a win with Burnley; but again it didn’t happen and it was the
new comers that took the initiatives and gathered all three points against all odd!
Liverpool had 80.4 per cent possession and 26 shots compared to
Burnley’s three – however the Reds were unable to break their opponents down.
Klopp explained where it went wrong for his side.
‘It’s not a defending problem, it’s an offensive problem. We lose the
ball in the wrong moment and bang, they are gone,’ he told the club’s official
website.
‘You can say that we should be ready in our development and these
mistakes should not happen anymore, but obviously in our training drills we
didn’t play the ball straight to our opponent! We did it in the game, put
ourself under pressure and there you go.
‘But it’s the second game. We have 36 left, that’s a big number.’
He continued: ‘I thought actually after 75 minutes that Burnley would
vomit on the pitch, but they didn’t. And we lost concentration, and didn’t
force them to make these defensive movements again.
‘It’s not an off day, just an experience that we didn’t want.
‘The whole game is explained by the two goals.
