Rio football: Columbia beat Nigeria -2-0-to advance to their first ever Olympic football quarter finals!

Columbia beat Nigeria 2-0 to finish second, and advance to the quarter final for the first time in their history of the Olympics.

The Columbians finished as runners up to the Nigerian Dream team with 5 points, from three games, while Nigeria finished top of the group with six points from three games.

The match started with the Columbian side coming to the game with an unbeaten record, and they wasted no time to register their intent and in no time, they got their goals, one from the penalty spot, and the other from open play.

The Nigerian dream team, though advanced to the quarter finals already, made five changes, and none of the new players impressed as they were all over the place, giving away possessions, misplaced passing and a disjointed defence with Sincere and Ekung, unlike their previous games where they really impressed and played as a team!
