According to report, more than 100 people were trapped in a cable Car ride of over 3,000 metres and 11,358tf above sea level in Alps  today in France.

The cable-car ride which normally takes about 35minutes to complete, did not go as the passengers thought it would go, as they were trapped in one spot for over two hours!

Sources said that the group were travelling from Aiguille du Midi to the Hellbronner( If you were familiar with France) peak before the incident happened...but helicopters have been deployed to rescue the passengers who are stranded near Europe’s highest mountain, the Mont Blanc...

While speaking on rescue mission, a spokesman for the local gendarmerie police said: ‘We will evacuate passengers by air, with police helicopters but also private ones called in by local authorities.’

The rescue attempt is said to be dependent on the weather, particularly the wind conditions, but according to local media, 17 people have already been rescued by helicopter.
