Hamilton wins the Mexican Grand Prix, to cut the lead on Rosberg to just 19
points, with just two races remaining.
Hamilton
hopes of winning this year Championship keeps looking more brighter by the
races, after two consecutive wins over
the weeks.
Rosberg who was saw his second position in the Mexican race almost slipping off his hands, kept the push to finish second, as expected to keep the hope alive. He leads the Championship, and he is putting in more
work, to make sure he wins his first Championship.
Though Rosberg survived a lunge from Red Bull's Max Verstappen to cross -the
line, he manages to find his way in to take-in second place.
After the race both Hamilton and
Rosberg said:
"This is honestly the best
crowd," said Hamilton. "They turn up and they have such great passion
for the sport. It is great to see.
"Nico has
done a great job. I am really gratfeul for the team. It is great for us to have
a one-two."
Rosberg added: "Lewis
was a bit too fast this weekend so I will have to accept second place. It is
okay to be second."
The Mexican race was not with its drama, as there were penalties upon
penalties during the race, and Verstappen finished third ahead of Ferrari
driver Sebastian Vettel, but the former was given a five-second elapsed penalty
for leaving the track at turn one and refusing to give the place to Vettel.
The German was subsequently bumped up to third.
