PHOTO: Everton coach, Ronald Koeman tells Romelu Lukaku he can join any of the big teams in Europe, as his “dreams are bigger” than Everton
Romelu Lukaku who saw
his hope of rejoining Chelsea this summer dashed, has been given the green light to put
up a transfer request by his coach, in order for him to realize his dreams.
Lukaku who has consistently voice out is desire to return
to Chelsea, was sold by the club in 2013 for a club record £27.5million, and can
see that dream come true by the next transfer window.
Koeman was quoted to have said this about his most
valuable player, Lukaku , when asked about the player’s interest of playing for
a bigger club, other than Everton. He said:
‘He eventually played
for Barcelona and I can see Lukaku doing the same. Everton should normally
not be the end for him.
‘Romelu will not have
made the most of his career if he plays for Everton for the remainder of his
career.
‘He has the potential
to play for a bigger club than Everton, but nobody knows what will happen after
this season.
