PHOTO: Arsene Wenger, fears, Chinese Super League not being afraid to splash the cash, could pose a threat to the English Premier League
With the likes of Chelsea’s Oscar going for just £60 million, the Arsenal manager fears more Premier league and club could following his step, to make more money, and thereby influence big demands from other players already playing in the league…such as what Ozil and Sanchez are demanding from Arsenal…
Wenger said, while responding to the Oscar move to China:
‘Yes, it’s a surprise, it’s a distortion, basically when you’re a football player you want to combine the quality of the competition with the quantity of your wages, it’s a surprise to me, but when I was in Japan, we had many Brazilian players,’ said Wenger.
‘At the moment I think Oscar moves because he doesn’t play in the Premier League, China gives him that opportunity, as well, they invest a lot of money at the moment.
‘Will it be a future problem for the Premier League? It could become [one].’
