PHOTO: Russian Ambassador shot dead by a gun man shouting “We die in Aleppo, you die here”

According to news report, a Russian ambassador, Andrei Karlov, was today shot dead by a man said to be a Turkish police officer, during the ambassador’s speech at the embassy...

The gun man who shot the ambassador five times, was reported to also have said : ‘Don’t forget Aleppo, Don’t forget Syria. Only death will remove me here.’...He was also part of the security details in the embassy, standing just behind the ambassador before the shooting...

It is believed he was 22-year-old Turkish police officer Mert Altintas from Ankara and in the special operations unit so had police ID, allowing him to get close to the ambassador.

Russia government are yet to speak on the incident, as at this report, but the death of the ambassador in Turkey, is not going to be that which Russia would take likely, given recent history of both countries...
