The election campaign promises of the APC led
government seems to be materializing, after commencing the N5000naira monthly
stipends to ‘vulnerable’ Nigerians, the alleged engagement of over five hundred-thousand Nigerian youth, the government has yet again release its
plans for school feeding for the first batch of the policy, with just five states to start with...
A total of N375 million was said to have been released to feed almost
700,000 primary school pupils in 5 states....These States are: Anambra, Ogun,
Oyo, Osun and Ebonyi....
Anambra state got N68million, which is for 96,489
pupils, Oyo state got 72.2million for 103,269 pupils, and Ogun got N119million
for 170,927 pupils, Ebony state got a total of N115million for 164, 598 pupils,
Osun state got, N867,370million for 142,193 pupils
All the funds according to reports were paid
directly to the cooks in all the states, and it will only cover feeding for
just ten days, before the release of other money for the following days...while
the likes of Enugu and Zamfara are to join the scheme in the following weeks...
