PHOTO: Williams sisters of Serena and Venus to play each other at the Australian Open finals
The final could
see Serena 34,win her 23rd Grand Slam in the Open era, to create a
new record in the female world tennis...while Venus who is 36, will be hoping to add to her collections as her form
this year has surprised everyone, including herself...
After her semifinal game, Serena
Williams when asked about facing her elder sister, she said:
"This is probably the moment of
our careers so far," Serena told reporters. "For me, I can definitely
say for me.
"I never lost hope for us being
able to play each other in a (grand slam) final although it was hard because
we're usually on the same side of the draw."
While Venus Williams beats her
opponents CoCo Vandeweghe 6-7 (3-7) 6-2 6-3, Serena on the other hand, was just
too powerful for her opponent, Croatia's
Mirjana Lucic-Baroni beating her 6-2 6-1 in 50 minutes.
"It won't be an easy
match," said Venus saying: "This
opponent is your sister and she's super awesome."
The final is on Saturday, and is expected to be a tough match...
