ex-Liverpool and England International, Jamie Carragher regrets ever doubting the abilities of Manchester united 35year old striker, Zlatan playing in the Premier League.
He said this after the striker netted the two goals that gave United the EFL Cup, taking his total goals this season in all competition to 26 goals, at that age, and in a tough league such as the English League, he's nothing but unbelievable...
He said the striker’s goal has been what has been helping United this season...He said:
‘I think it’s unbelievable what we’re watching,’ Carragher said on
Monday Night Football.
‘Zlatan throughout his career, there was always a feeling in England,
that he was a flat track bully. He won everything in Italy but in Champions
League games against English sides, it never quite happened.
‘But to think that after the age of 30, he’s got 200 goals. You think of
Andriy Shevchenko, one of the best strikers in the world, he found it too
difficult [in the Premier League].
‘I was thinking could he [Ibrahimovic] cope with the demand? He said he
could and he’s been carrying Man United, one of the best clubs in the world, in
a difficult position on the field.
‘We’re watching something special and you only wish he came earlier.’
