PHOTO: Speaker Yakubu Dogara on Custom Boss: ‘As long as you can deliver, Uniform does not matter but performance

The Speaker of House of Representative has called the current face-off between Comptroller General of Nigerian Customs and the Nigerian Senate, as a mere distraction, as uniform does not make a man...
...saying, as long as a person can deliver, then the talk of putting on a uniform or not, does not  really matter....
The Speaker while speaking to some media people today, said though the house cannot dictate to the Senate, but insists the face-off is unnecessary, and that both parties should try and settle their differences, as ordinary Nigerians should be the priority here, and not individual selfish interest...He said:

 “The main issue is delivery”
“I can’t speak for the House; the House will have to speak for itself through a resolution of the House.
“I cannot pre-judge what the outcome of the debate will be,” he said.

He said Nigerians and the media should focus more on what the law states on the uniform controversy rather than on the stance of the Senate or Mr. Ali.
