PHOTO: Antonio Conte disagrees with Spurs coach, Pochettino saying ‘Chelsea are favourite’ to win FA Cup game tomorrow
The claim
by Tottenham coach Mauricio Pochettino in a build up to tomorrow’s FA cup game against
Chelsea, that Chelsea are more placed to win the game, given their experience
players and their Achievements over the years...has been refuted by Chelsea manager, Conte....
Pochettino
at a press conference when asked if Spurs were favourite going into the game,
given their form this season, said:
‘If there’s a favourite it’s Chelsea, top of
the Premier League, with experienced players and the manager they have,’
‘We are
talking about the team who in the past five years won European competitions,
World Cups, a manager who won the title in Italy, they’re more experienced.’
A
statement which Chelsea manager refuted, by saying:
‘I think Tottenham is a really great power in
English football. They are working three years for them and I think is the
right moment to finish [thinking about excuses].
‘They are showing for the second
consecutive year they can fight for the title.
‘I think
in the future Tottenham will stay to fight for the title. They are full of
great players and are building something important in their third year
together.
‘There is
a moment you have to finish to consider yourself an underdog. This is the right
moment.’
On the
condition of Gary Cahill, Chelsea manager said:
‘This
period is not lucky for us,’ he added. ‘When we started to have the training on
Tuesday, Gary arrived at training with a fever, then we prefer to bring him
into hospital to check his situation.
‘It’s not
serious and now he’s getting better. He’s improved a lot but, for tomorrow, my
answer is it’s very difficult.’
