PHOTO: Mamadou Sakho refutes claims he celebrated to Liverpool’s defeat to Palace, saying he does not see anything wrong ‘shaking hands’ with a friend

On loan Liverpool defender, Mamadou Sakho came under huge criticism from the Liverpool fans, after sunday's game in which Liverpool lost...

...The defender came under heavy backlash in the social media, in what the fans called 'disrespecting the club'...they questioned his celebration with Benkete...after Big Benteke scored a brace against former club, Liverpool...

...The French international, has since refuted the allegation, saying it was just a normal hand shake, as he did not celebrate the goals scored by Benkete...But the  clips from the game showed otherwise Mr Sakho!

When asked about it, and how he feels about the club Liverpool and fans after his alleged celebration, He said:

“When Christian scored, I stayed seated as I didn't want to celebrate by respect for the club to which I belong and the fans,”
“But when he came over to me, I stood up and did what we always do as friends, our hand check.

“There was nothing behind it, nothing else to imply by it. Just two friends who are playing for the same team and who have the same goal, which is to get the three points at each game to make sure the team stays in the Premier League.

“If we were losing 2-0 and Christian reduced the score, we would have also done it if he came to me.”
Crystal Palace performance at Anfield, was a first class performance, as the defenders were able to cope without their inform on loan defender, Sakho, and here was what the on loan defender had to say:

“We are very happy obviously. That was our goal when we set foot on the pitch. We need all the points we can get to be sure to stay in the Premier League - that is our mission. That is why I accepted the challenge with Palace, and we need to be the best we can as a team to succeed.”
