Last season's Premier League Champions, Chelsea, are reported to have hijacked the initially bound Liverpool man, with over £60million bid...

Chelsea who were initially front runner in signing Virgil Van Dijk, but later dropped their pursuit due to the huge price tag placed on him by Southampton (£70million)...which made them turned to Juventus Bonucci (£45million), are now back again for same player! Van Dijk with even more improved bid...
...this bid means, Chelsea are surpassing their initial bid and every other bid Southampton has received for the defender...and I know, unlike Liverpool who dropped a peanut £90,000-aweek wage on Mohamed Salah, Van Dijk could command a £150,000-£200,000 a week wage from Chelsea...

But again, getting a news on Chelsea emergency U-turn on Van Dijk, I am left to wondering why are they having a second thought on the player instead of going ahead with Bonucci...age? Premier League experience and need for pace? guess we have to wait for Conte to give us explanation...

Whittier: Many Injured As Driver Run Into Jogging Law Enforcement Recruits

  A driver is reported to have slammed into more than two dozen law enforcement recruits while out on a run in Whittier, ABC7 reports.  According to the report, authorities say some of them suffered “life-altering injuries” that include head trauma, broken bones and loss of limbs. A class of about 75 recruits were running Wednesday morning as part of a training exercise when a 22-year-old driver crashed into the group in Whittier.  The victims and their injuries A total of five recruits are currently in critical condition, four are being treated for “moderate” injuries and 16 have minor injuries. Sheriff Alex Villanueva said at least one is on a ventilator, ABC7 reports. The recruits were all sent to various hospitals in the Whittier area, but the most critical patients were rushed before paramedics arrived.
