PHOTO:Manchester City so far, have spent £164million on defenders and keeper
The Transfer market so far this season, has seen some of the craziest deals in the history of world football, and most especially in the English Premier League. The top teams have made some big signings, Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United and Manchester City, all spending big in order to make an impact next season.
As the League sponsorship money increases, clubs are no longer shy to spend, and sell as they know wining or remaining in the league, sure will bring alot of money. But the focus is on Manchester City, who are desperately in need of success, and are bringing in players to make sure they have it.
City have been the most active in the market, though Everton have signed more, but City expenses are far more than that of Everton, and the question i ask again is, it seems Guardiola feels the problem of his team last season, was the defence, and goalkeeping, which I must say is not just the defence, as the midfield too had some issues. But my question again is, is he signing the right set of players? I mean we saw what happened to John Stones, and now he is bringing Walker and Mendy...well, we will wait and see.
City's transfer fees at the back so far:
Mendy: £52million
Walker:£50million
Ederson: £35million
Danilo: £27million .....£164million spent in the defence alone
