PHOTO: Ghana wins WAFU Cup, after trashing Super Eagles of Nigeria 4-1
The West African football competition for home based regional players has ended, and it was the host, Ghana that came out victorious. Ghana won the finals, after beating Super Eagles of Nigeria, 4-1 at home, to be crowned the Champions.
Ghana who were beaten by Nigeria in their last group game, reminded the super eagles, that the win in the group game was just their own doing, as they showed the Nigerian players who before the final never conceded a goal, how football is played.
Goals from Stephen Sarfo in the 44* 77* and Atingah 77* with Cobbinah in the 93*...while Rabiu scored a consolation for Nigeria in 95*....
Nigerian goalkeeper won the golden glove for his performance in the competition, while Ghana went home with both the golden boot and player of the tournament award. See the list:
