PHOTO NEWS: See Pictures, as German Ambassador visit PDP's Makarfi

The German Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr Bernhard Schlagheck earlier today, paid a courtesy visit to the chairman of the opposition political party in Nigeria, Peoples Democratic Party, Mr Ahmed Makarfi.

The visit which took place at the party's Secretariat, was described by the chairman as a welcome development, as both parties seek a working collaborations to move Nigeria forward.

Other members of the PDP National caretaker working committee were also on hand, for a group picture with the Ambassador. See more pictures:

UFC star Israel Adesanya was arrested Wednesday afternoon for criminal possession of a weapon at JFK airport in NYC, TMZ reports. According to the report, UFC star Israel Adesanya was allegedly busted while going through security with metal knuckles. The arrest was made by the Port Authority Police Department near the TSA screening area near the American Airlines terminal around 1:57 PM. TMZ reported that Brass knuckles are illegal (a class A misdemeanour) in the state of New York. It’s also illegal to carry them on your person or in your carry-on bag.   Pete Davidson’s mom is marking his birthday, as she took to her official social media handle to post throwback photos of the comedian to mark his 29th birthday.  Pete Davidson’s mom, Amy Davidson, posted the comedian photo when he was still a kid to celebrate him as he clocks a year older. The former  Saturday Night Live  comedian was seemingly low-key as he turned 29 on Wednesday, though his mom made sure to draw some attention to her son on social media. “Happiest birthday to you Peter!” she wrote “We love you and you have made us laugh since the day you were born! Whittier: Many Injured As Driver Run Into Jogging Law Enforcement Recruits

  A driver is reported to have slammed into more than two dozen law enforcement recruits while out on a run in Whittier, ABC7 reports.  According to the report, authorities say some of them suffered “life-altering injuries” that include head trauma, broken bones and loss of limbs. A class of about 75 recruits were running Wednesday morning as part of a training exercise when a 22-year-old driver crashed into the group in Whittier.  The victims and their injuries A total of five recruits are currently in critical condition, four are being treated for “moderate” injuries and 16 have minor injuries. Sheriff Alex Villanueva said at least one is on a ventilator, ABC7 reports. The recruits were all sent to various hospitals in the Whittier area, but the most critical patients were rushed before paramedics arrived.
