Spanish LaLiga side, Atletico Madrid has released a statement on their purported £57million transfer for Chelsea striker, Diego Costa.
The club who is still under transfer ban, released a statement on the player, and how they have reached an agreement with Chelsea. See the statement:
"The English club gave the Spanish international permission
to travel to Madrid, in the coming days to take his medical exam and
finalize his contract with our club.
Atlético de Madrid and Chelsea have reached an initial agreement
for the transfer of Diego Costa. The agreement is pending the
formalization of the contract between our club and the Spanish
international forward. The English club has authorized Diego Costa to
travel to Madrid in the coming days to undergo medical tests and settle
his contract with our club".
