Tems Shares Lovely Message To Mark Her 30th Birthday

Popular Nigerian singer, song writer and multiple award winner, Temilade Openiyi, known professionally as Tems, has just dropped a birthday post to wish herself a happy birthday, as she turns 30 today.

The ‘Love Me Je Je’ crooner in her witty self, taking to her official media handle on Wednesday 11th June, 2025, which happens to be her birthday date, posted a series of stunning photos of her friends, family and herself to give a shout out to herself for adding a new age…but still claims 21 though in her message..l.ol

“Letter to future self (dramatic queen).

First of all, you and I both know we’re still 21, they’re all haters and they know it! Lol

This is certainly not the last time you’re gonna do some corny shit like this but I hope you don’t stop.  I hope you remember every lesson, every joy, every tear has led me here and how grateful I am for the people in my life right now.

And that you remain grateful to God, cuz He’s everything,” she ended her birthday message to herself.

Tems is not only celebrating her birthday, she is also celebrating the fact that she was nominated as one of those that would headline the first-ever FIFA Club World Cup final halftime show, taking place at MetLife Stadium in New York on July 13.

Tems will be joined on stage by Colombian hitmaker J Balvin and American pop star Doja Cat, creating an international lineup for the historic event.

According to a statement by Global Citizen on its website, the producers of the show, the star-studded performance will be broadcast live and free on DAZN.com, allowing fans around the world to tune in.

Speaking about the upcoming performance, Tems shared her excitement and the deeper meaning behind the show.

Tems said, ”We’re going to bring the world together for a beautiful moment to celebrate football, feel the unity that music brings, and improve the lives of millions of children through the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund

“I can’t wait. See you at the FIFA Club World Cup final!”

A member of Tems’ management team, Muyiwa Awoniyi, also confirmed the news in a post on X on Monday, saying, “Pleased to announce that @temsbaby will be performing at the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 on Sunday 13th July 2025 at the Metlife Stadium.

“A huge thank you to FIFA President Gianni Infantino and Global Citizen Co-Founder and CEO Hugh Evans.

“This is the first-ever halftime show in a FIFA competition and we are proud and honoured to be a part of it.”

According to Global Citizen, the event aims to raise over $100 million for the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, supporting education efforts and FIFA’s Football for Schools program across over 200 countries.

They said $1 from every ticket sold to FIFA Club World Cup 2025 matches in the US will be donated to the fund.

Global Citizen stated, “The FIFA Club World Cup Final will feature a live halftime show produced by Global Citizen.

“With performances from artists across Africa, South America, and North America, this event reflects Global Citizen’s core belief: that music and unity can help solve the world’s greatest challenges.”

The 2025 FIFA Club World Cup is expected to be the largest global club tournament, with millions tuning in worldwide.

Extreme athlete Felix Baumgartner, the first skydiver to fall faster than the speed of sound during a 24-mile leap through the stratosphere more than a decade ago, died in a crash along the eastern coast of Italy.
