On Thursday, the Vogue cover star - who smiled when a little bird flew
over her head - shared her trick for getting the perfect pout, and it's not by
using her younger sister Kylie Jenner's
products.
Rather, the Calabasas native relies on a 'lip
plumper' from another brand; L'Oreal.
Kendall Jenner was in the backyard of her Los Angeles home when she gave fans a
makeup tutorial while in a yellow dress with beige lace. She had yellow nail
polish on to match.
At first the star pulled back her brunette hair
into a clip then she got going on her routine while holding up a cute gold
compact.
The ex of Bad Bunny carefully lined her lips
then added a heavy coat of the L'Oreal Plump Ambition Hyaluron Lip Oil which
costs $13.99 and comes in 10 shades.
The lip oil is infused with Hyaluronic Acid
and Tripeptides and uses a lightweight, non-sticky formula.
Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance found
in the fluids in the eyes and joints. It acts as a cushion and lubricant in the
joints and other tissues.
Different forms of hyaluronic acid are used
for cosmetic purposes.
Tripeptides are often used in anti-ageing
skincare formulations due to the way they improve skin cell renewal and help to
regenerate collagen levels.
Some companies use peppermint oil to create a
temporary plumping effect. Peppermint oil contains menthol, which mildly
irritates the thin skin of the lips. This irritation increases blood flow to
the surface of the lips, causing them to temporarily swell and appear
fuller.
This effect is temporary and typically lasts
for a few hours.
But L'Oreal relies on Hyaluronic Acid
and Tripeptides instead.
Jenner has repeatedly denied using lip
fillers, crediting any changes in her lip appearance to makeup techniques like
overlining.
She addressed the rumors in 2017 on social media after a live stream
with her sister Kylie sparked speculation that she had
received lip injections.
Kendall Jenner stated the accusations were
'crazy' and that she was 'sick of her and her family being bullied'
online.
However, Kylie has admitted to getting lip fillers, which she
first started using in 2015 when she was 17 years old.
She got the injections due to insecurity
about her lip size, a decision that resulted in significant cultural discussion
and the viral Kylie Lip Challenge.
While she later dissolved them and expressed
regret for lying about it, she has since gotten them done again.
