Zara Larsson Calls Out Fans For Pitting Her Against Tate McRae
The Swedish popstar has been supporting the Greedy hitmaker on her Miss
Possessive Tour which came to a close in Los Angeles last week.
And taking to Instagram to share a selection
of snaps from the shows, Zara Larson thanked Tate for the opportunity to open
for her.
Addressing those who had pitted the pair
against each other, she insisted they were 'just two pop girls who love and
support each other'.
She penned: 'It’s a wrap on Miss Possessive
tour! @tatemcrae thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing your
stage with me and my girls every night.
'I can’t explain how much I’ve appreciated
the opportunity to give the people a little taste of a Zara set. I’m speechless
at the amount of praise I’ve been getting over these past few weeks from your
wonderful fans and online.
'With that being said, it’s been strange
seeing some people putting us against each other when we’re just two pop girls
who love and support each other back stage!
'Not only are you insanely talented,
something we all can tell from seeing you on stage every night, but you have an
incredible team around you.
'The dancers, band, crew, team, drivers, and
tech have been a joy to be around and I always feel like that says a lot about
how a person works.
'You set the bar. You set the standard. You
are a super star. Just know, I will always have your back! Thank you for this
experience!!!'
Zara Larson released her latest album
Midnight Sun at the weekend as she also took to Instagram to thank fans for
their support.
She penned: 'One day of Midnight Sun! This
record has made me more expressive with my thoughts.
'It has definitely made me a better song
writer, collaborator, clearer communicator and just over all a jolly person
since it was such a smooth and heellaaa fun time to make it. It’s exciting to
feel like this is only the beginning.
'This is just the very start of a great
adventure into the creative unknown where the sun never stops shining! And
that’s a journey I have not started on my own.'
The star is also set to head out on her own
tour in October across Europe, the UK and the US.
Meanwhile Tate brought a heatwave to this year's MTV VMAs after she injected a
spicy touch with a steamy performance of Revolving Door and Sports Car.
Flanked by hunky backup dancers resembling
Greek gods, Tate worked her magic in sexy white crop top and hot pants for a
show that soon turned steamy.
She seductively bounced about a giant
sand box while her backup dancers - clad in little more than speedos and shimmer
- followed her.
She finished off the performance on the
floor, contorting her body in a sensual manner as flames erupted in the
background.
Tate received overwhelming positive response
to her performance, with fans hailing her as the next Britney Spears (a
comparison she has previously received).
A fan of the sexy sight gushed: 'Tate
McRae was so f**king hot in the performance, I loved it so much!'
