Burruss who recently underwent a weight loss transformation — added that she is
'stepping into a new chapter pouring into my work, my family, and my own
growth.'
Kandi Burruss, who shares two kids with Tucker, added that she is grateful to those who supported them over the years and asked for 'privacy, grace, and understanding as we navigate this transition with our family.'
The
pair share two children together: son Ace, nine, and daughter Blaze, five, whom
they welcomed via surrogate.
Kandi
Burruss also has daughter Riley, 23, from a previous relationship with ex
Russell Spencer, and Tucker has daughter Kaela, 29.
Burruss
and Tucker met in 2011 while filming season four of The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
They got engaged in January 2013 and married the following April.
The
split announcement comes just days after Burruss thanked Tucker in her
acceptance speech, after receiving the Wifetime Achievement Award at The Bravos
during BravoCon 2025 in Las Vegas on November 14.
'To
Todd, thank you for surviving the blogs the shade, the rumors, the lies, the
truth, the almost fights, the actual fights, the reunions... You earned this
award too,' she said.
The
couple have joined forces professionally on numerous ventures, including a soul
food restaurant chain in Georgia, a trucking company, and a Bravo series
centered on their family and the restaurant business.
The
couple last posted each other to their Instagram accounts on October 8, when
they both shared photos from a family day of apple picking with their
kids.
They
were seen smiling together as they posed with their two kids.
'Field
tripping with @acetucker & @blazetucker!' Burruss wrote in the caption.
Meanwhile
Tucker shared similar snaps to his page, writing, 'I hope these little apples
don’t fall far the tree! Had so much fun with @acetucker and @blazetucker at
the Apple Patch!'
Burruss
joined RHOA in 2009 during season two. At the time, she was a single mother to
her daughter Riley.
Tucker,
meanwhile, worked behind the scenes as a production manager before their relationship
turned romantic.
In
March 2022, Burruss marked their eight wedding anniversary with a photo video
montage, writing, 'We've got that forever kind of love!'
She
added, 'You were the perfect man for me. I'm a better me with you! ❤️ 8 years down & a lifetime to go!'
Tucker
shared similar sentiments on his page, writing, 'We have a forever kinda of
love! I look forward to our future and a life time [sic] of love. Happy
anniversary to my amazing wife @kandi I Love you!'
Tucker frequently clashed with his mother-in-law, Mama Joyce
Jones, on the reality series. Jones claimed he was only after her
daughter's money.
The tension dates back to the early days of their relationship, when Jones labeled him a 'gold-digging opportunist' on the Bravo series.
Jones
reignited drama at BravoCon 2022 when she was unable to name three nice things
about Tucker.
Burruss
said the pair ultimately reconciled the following year.
'That
BravoCon last year set it off in my household. They weren’t talking. If she
came around, Todd would leave,' she recalled at BravoCon 2023.
'It
was a whole mess. I guess over the summer, he decided to let it go. They
started communicating. She comes over and hangs out with the kids,' she added.
After
14 seasons, Burruss announced in February 2024 that she was departing from The
Real Housewives of Atlanta.
'I
decided I’m not coming back this year,' she told Variety on the red carpet at
the 2024 Grammy Awards.
'It's
been 14 seasons, and they allowed us to sit around for a little too long, but
during that time I had started working on a lot of other things, and I got some
nice big projects coming soon, so I’m super excited about those things.'
