Taylor Swift And Travis Kelce Pick Rhode Island Mansion For Fairytale Wedding
According to the report by Daily Mail, back in September, an insider revealed that the lovebirds Taylor Swift and
Travis Kelce have chosen her sprawling $28 million Rhode Island mansion as the venue for
the ceremony - and pricy renovations are now underway.
Earlier this month, Swift's A-list bridesmaids were revealed ahead
of the nuptials - with BFFs Gigi Hadid and Selena Gomez claimed
to be among the bridal party.
A source claimed to The U.S. Sun that
the Grammy winner
wants to turn her oceanfront estate into a floral wonderland.
Both Taylor Swift and Kelce are willing to
spend around $1.2 million on just the landscaping, with the songstress wanting
to plant flowers 'months' ahead of the wedding.
Included in the shocking price tag for those
renovations alone is extra security to ensure that changes are concealed before
the big day.
The source also claimed to the outlet: 'She
wants the entire celebration to feel like a wave of flowers, with arrangements
of white, purple, and pink orchids, plus blue, white, and pink hydrangeas, and
peonies in pink, white, and red tones.'
When Kelce got down on one knee back in
August, he had notably transformed his backyard into a secret garden
paradise.
'Taylor dreams of being fully surrounded by
flowers, with lush floral bushes everywhere, making her teenage dream of
marrying in a sea of flowers come true,' the insider stated.
When it comes to the wedding planning,
Swift's bridesmaids have been offering their input while both the pop star and
football player's mothers are also involved.
The Bad Blood singer is aiming for a three-day
wedding extravaganza for 'a unique, unforgettable memory they'll cherish for
the rest of their lives.'
The source additionally claimed that Swift is
aiming to whisk herself and close pals away for a number of bachelorette-themed
getaways such as to the Bahamas and Italy.
'The goal is to have fun, spend weekends
together, and enjoy the process,' the insider said to 'create the best wedding
weekend of her life.'
Swift could possibly pay around $750,000 on
the floral decorations alone which also include bouquets and other
arrangements.
A few months earlier in September, a separate
source told Daily Mail that the couple are set on her Rhode Island mansion as
the wedding venue.
'His family doesn't care where it's at. It
could be in Timbuktu and they'd go there for it. But yeah - right now is that
it's going to be in Rhode Island at her mansion,' the insider said.
But when it comes to the kind of wedding the
pair desire to have, the source claimed that Kelce wants a 'blowout.'
'He wants a big blowout with everyone he
loves, but he did say that he has to run it by her. So I'd guess he wants a
bigger thing than she does.'
The lavish manor sits on five acres and the
singer purchased the mansion back in 2013 for $17.75 million.
The location is also known for the Fourth of
July parties Swift would throw with her close group of friends.
Back in January, the value of the estate went up to
$27.8 million. It came after Swift's plans to make $1.7 million
in renovations was revealed.
Earlier this month, some of the singer's
bridesmaids were also revealed ahead of the anticipated nuptials.
It was claimed that Gigi Hadid and Selena Gomez - who recently tied the
knot with Benny Blanco - are set to be two of the Swift's bridesmaids,
per The U.S. Sun.
The Love Story hitmaker had dinner with Hadid
in NYC where she asked the supermodel to be one of her bridesmaids.
While Hadid 'wasn't expecting' to be asked,
she was 'thrilled' to accept.
The source told the outlet at the time,
'Taylor wants to start the wedding process this way - building her bridesmaid
group and getting everyone involved in the preparations, celebrations and
planning.
'She wants it to be fun and memorable for
everyone, with parties, trips and time spent together leading up to the big
day.'
Last month in October, Swift offered an
additional detail about her wedding - and who could possibly perform.
During an appearance on the Hits Radio Breakfast Show, the
songstress was asked if her pal and fellow music
artist Ed Sheeran will sing at the ceremony.
'I mean it would be hard to keep him from it
I think! That's the thing, he's like, "I'm always being asked to sing at
weddings," and you're like, "Ed, if there's a stage, you know that
you'll be on it!"' Swift replied.
Back in August, Swift and Kelce announced
their engagement with a sweet Instagram post captioned with: 'Your English
teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.'
The couple could be seen in a loving embrace
after he got down on one knee and proposed.
He transformed his backyard into a secret
garden wonderland with pink and white floral arrangements placed throughout the
area to create a romantic atmosphere.
Kelce popped the big question with a massive 10-carat diamond ring and
Swift offered insight into the special moment while on The Graham Norton Show in
October.
'So he really crushed it when it came to
surprising me. Because we had actually filmed a podcast episode - he has a
podcast called New Heights.'
The star continued, 'So we filmed the podcast
for about three or four hours or whatever.
'And meanwhile, behind his house, he was
having the whole back garden turned into this,' she said, motioning towards
photos of the engagement.
'And one of the things that he put in there
very strategically was a wall of hedges that weren't there before and inside
the hedges was my tour photographer hiding in bushes that had not previously
been there.'
Swift - who was first linked to the Kansas
City Chiefs tight end in 2023 - then gushed, 'He went all out. Ten out of 10.'
