Hugh Jackman And Sutton Foster Attend His Up Coming Movie Premiere In NYC
Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster continued their romance on the red carpet, as the couple packed on the PDA at the premiere of his upcoming movie Song Sung Blue in NYC on Thursday.
The 57-year-old Australian actor - whose relationship
with Foster was confirmed back in January -
flashed a cheerful smile as he joined other celebrities at the screening,
including Kate Hudson and Justin
Theroux.
It comes amid Jackman's alleged
drama with ex-wife Deborra-Lee Furness, whom he
split from in 2023. The former couple's divorce was finalized earlier this year
in June following 27 years of marriage.
Hugh Jackman was dapper wearing a classic
black suit which was paired with a white dress shirt and black tie.
Foster, 50, was also dressed for the occasion in a
sleeveless, dark navy minidress that contained sparkling silver embellishments
on the material.
Her dark locks were styled into a sleek up do, preventing
any loose strands from falling onto her face.
The Younger actress slipped into a pair of
black heels with a dazzling piece on top and carried a black clutch in her
hand.
Hugh Jackman and Foster cozied up together as they walked
the red carpet and paused for a brief photo session.
The lovebirds were seen laughing and smiling
at each other amid lighthearted moments.
Before striking up a romance, the two stars had been friends for
many years - with their relationship confirmed
in January of this year.
In 2022, the two co-starred in the production of The Music
Man and she previously opened up about their friendship at the time.
'The best thing that's happened out of this whole thing is that I've
made a new friend, which you never anticipate,' Sutton told People.
'We always joke that after 40, you don't really make new
friends! He's a dream and so kind and talented and is even more generous. He's
pretty fantastic. We're having a really remarkable time - the whole
company.'
Hugh Jackman and Foster made their red carpet debut
during the 2025 AFI Fest in Hollywood a few months earlier in
October.
The pair held big smiles on their faces as
they posed together and sweetly wrapped their arms around each other at the
festival.
Jackman's romance with Foster came after his split from
Furness which took place in 2023. Their divorce was finalized in June of this
year - just one month after the filing.
Back in October, RadarOnline claimed that Hugh
and Deborra have begun
to repair their friendship following the separation.
However, recent 'peace talks' between the former couple
are claimed to have dramatically ended - after the actor put on the PDA with
Foster at an Australian pub in NYC in front of her old friends.
'Hugh and Sutton are everywhere right now – red carpets, concerts, even
cuddling in the street,' a source told New Idea Magazine this week.
'It's like he's taken their truce as a green light to
bring Sutton front and center of his world – and it's putting pressure on Deb
that she's not ready to deal with.'
Jackman as well as Foster and Hudson had ventured to the
Australian pub after the Gotham Awards in the Big Apple. The group had also
taken part in a karaoke session where they belted out the track Sweet
Caroline.
'That's hard for Deb to see, even two years after they
split. They're all her old friends too... to hear they were all singing Sweet
Caroline together is just too much. She feels like she's being rubbed out by
people she was really close to.'
The outlet also claimed that Jackman will be
spending Christmas with Foster in his home country of Australia.
'He's out of his mind. Deb agreed to a truce last October
hoping for a peaceful family Christmas that the kids can enjoy. She can't
win.'
The insider added, 'Hugh's expecting way too much and Deb
has made it crystal clear she doesn't want the Hugh and Sutton snog show
anywhere near her.'
In October, a separate source had told RadarOnline that
Jackman and Furness had been getting on good terms after the split.
'Hugh has been trying to make peace with Debs for a long
while now, but as you can imagine, it has taken her time to feel ready,' a
source had told the outlet.
'Settling all the legal stuff seems to have helped
because she's finally coming around - they've gotten together a couple of times
in New York recently to talk things out.'
The insider added, 'By all accounts things have improved
dramatically, which is fantastic for everyone, most of all their kids.
'It's been two years now since they officially separated.
It really is time to let the hatred and anger go.'
Furness previously reflected on the end of
her marriage to Jackman and labeled it as a 'traumatic betrayal' that 'cut
deep.'
It was also recently revealed that Furness has landed a book deal to pen
a memoir where she will get
candid about her 27-year marriage to The Wolverine star as well as their
split.
Along with his romance with Foster, the Australian actor
has been keeping busy and is preparing for the release of his new movie
Song Sung Blue.
The biographical musical drama was written and directed
by Craig Brewer - while Kate Hudson, Ella Anderson, Michael Imperioli and King
Princess are also a part of the cast.
The premise is: 'Lightning and Thunder, a Milwaukee husband and wife
Neil Diamond tribute act, experience soaring success and devastating heartbreak
in their musical journey together,' per IMDB.
The movie is set to hit theaters later this year on Christmas Day and
has already generated positive buzz among critics. The film currently holds a
critics score of 83% on Rotten
Tomatoes.
Other stars walked the red carpet at the NYC premiere on
Thursday, including Kate Hudson.
She glammed up in a green gown that had a deep plunging
neckline on the front and flowed down into a short train behind her.
The dress was partially covered by a sheer
pink coverup that fell down past her shoulders for a stylish flare.
Hudson's blonde locks pulled back into a chic bun,
preventing any loose strands from falling onto her face.
The Almost Famous actress opted for minimal accessories
and added a pair of small green earrings.
A warm blush was added to her cheekbones for a radiant
glow while a pink satin tint was worn on her lips for a finishing touch.
Ella Anderson stunned in a light blue, strapless gown
with a corset bodice and short train that fell down behind her.
The actress accessorized the ensemble with dangly
earrings as well as a glittering silver necklace.
The Henry Danger alum carried a dazzling purse in her
hand while her blonde hair cascaded past her shoulders in elegant waves.
Constance Wu turned heads in a shimmering silver gown
which was paired with a flashy necklace and matching earrings.
Her dark locks were parted to the side, and
effortlessly flowed down past her shoulders in light waves.
Goldie Hawn was also in attendance to support Hudson
alongside her husband Kurt Russell. The star wowed in sparkling black
trousers which was paired with a matching top and blazer.
Hawn was later seen crossing paths with her daughter on
the red carpet and the pair posed for photos together.
Jackman then joined his co-star Hudson as well as her
parents during the star-studded premiere in the Big Apple.
The Wolverine actor had the chance to take a picture with
Hawn and Russell on the red carpet as Hudson stepped away.
