The Presidency today, through its spokesman and Minister of Information and Culture, Mr Lai Mohammed, said during the Federal Executive Council meeting, that there is no cause for alarm on the health status of the President... The Minister said that it is not abnormal for anybody to fall sick, said the President is doing well, and that he is being taken care of by competent hands in the UK, and   will be back soon....   The Minister while thanking Nigerians for their prayers and support for the President, said, the government is working and moving as it has always been, and there is no cause for alarm....he said:

The quest to revamp the Industrial sector of Nigeria and bring it to competitive nature and to also create employment... ...while reducing the huge reliance on the Oil and Gas sector, has led to the inauguration of the Nigeria Industrial and Competitive Council by the Presidency in Abuja on Tuesday... Acting President of Nigeria, Professor Yemi Osinbajo presided over the event, that saw Nigeria best both in the public and Private sectors...coming together to share their various experience with the Presidency....and also serve as a council member....

After years of neglect and politicking of the ever busy Lagos Oshodi-airport road, the Presidency has finally given the go-ahead to the Lagos state government, to reconstruct the road...with its own resources... The Federal government through the Acting President, Professor Osinbajo stepped in to give the final approval, overriding the Ministry of Works on their reluctant and in what some people termed 'frustration' to allow the Lagos state Government embark on a reconstruction of the dilapidated road... While making the announcement, during the  Lagos @50 celebration, the  state governor expressing his joy on the news, said:

The board and chief Executive of Arsenal football club, having given a two years contract to French man and manager of the club, Arsene Wenger, have demanded nothing less than the Premier League trophy from the French man... ...the board insists, the aim of the club this time around, is to win the trophy that has eluded them for over twelve years now...clearly a prize Wenger would have to pay for his new two years contract at the club...But with the likes of Pep Guardiola, Jose Mourinho, Pochettino, and Klopp all wanting the Premier league next season...this clearly will be a tough task for Wenger come next season...

After the terrorist attack in the UK, the United states are not taking any chances, as they too are upping their security measures in all areas, and the one area they have focused on is the airport and passengers... United States are putting measures in place, which could likely see a ban on laptops from aircraft cabins on all flights into and out of the country as part of a ramped-up effort to protect against potential security threats, U.S. Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly said on Sunday. In an interview on "Fox News Sunday," Kelly said the United States planned to "raise the bar" on airline security, including tightening screening of carry-on items.

Hull City coach, Marco Silva has resigned his position as the club’s manager....and this was announced by the Club on their website... Marco Silva who did a fantastic job at Hull City, was unfortunate to have seen his team get relegated to the Championship, along side MiddlesBrough and Sunderland... ...out of the teams relegated, and some of the teams that survived, they stood a very good chance to survive, but lost it in the last minute of the season, after losing to Sunderland...they pulled some big wins and draws away from home and when most football pundits thought the coach will stay and build the Hull City team to his own, the club announced his departure from the club...see the their statement:

The two Manchester clubs have once again since the terror attack in Manchester City, unites to show solidarity to the families and victims of the deadly terror attack in the city... The two clubs of Manchester United and Manchester City, both donated £1million to the ‘We Love Manchester Emergency Fund’...a fund raising emergency to fund the treatment of injured victims, and funeral to the dead... While speaking of the donation and the two clubs and city coming together as one voice, the Chairman of Manchester City, Mr Khaldoon Al Mubarak said:

Manchester United offered Antonio Valencia a year contract to his current one, to keep him at the club for yet another two season, till 2019... ...as a form of saying ‘thank you’ to the player...and he was also offered a possibility of a another one year extension in the new contract.. . The Federal Government of Nigeria, through the Federal Ministry of Interior, has announced Monday as Public Holiday in the country, to mark Nigeria’s 18 years of Democracy, popularly known as ‘Democracy Day’.... The statement was signed by the Minister of Interior himself, Lt-Gen Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau in Abuja .

Nigerian couple of Mr and Mrs Adeboye and Ajibola Taiwo finally got their wish, after years of waiting and praying...as they   welcomed their first child (children in this case)...sextuplets ( three boys and three girls) in the United States, after seventeen years of marriage....   The couple gave birth in a hospital in Virginia, and the birth of the sextuplets, is one of few recorded in the United State...and  the husband could not hide his joy while talking to news men...He said as reported by ABC NEWS America, that:

Facebook founder and one of world richest business men, Mark Zuckerberg, put up a picture of himself and Mother, with his degree, as he finally gets his University degree after he dropped out 12years ago... The social media billionaire, going back to school to get his degree, clearly shows how important education is and how he values it...I mean, with all his billions, you will think education would be the least of his worries...but not him, as he put up a picture of his graduation and wrote:
